Orange County NAPNAP Chapter Update
August 2025
Dear Members,
I’m honored to continue serving as this year’s President of the Orange County Chapter of NAPNAP, and I look forward to another meaningful year of advocacy, education, and community connection.
Please join me in warmly welcoming Linda Mendoza, DNP, CPNP-PC, AE-C as our new Chapter President-Elect. Linda brings a wealth of experience from her work at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), where she serves as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Certified Asthma Educator. She is part of the Wellness on Wheels (WoW) team—formerly known as the Breath mobile and leads Asthma and Community Outreach efforts. We are grateful for her leadership and excited to have her on our team.
NAPNAP Hill Day at Home: August 25–29, 2025
Congress will be in recess during this time, making it the perfect opportunity to engage directly with your elected leaders in your community. We encourage you to take action and advocate for the priorities that matter most to pediatric-focused APRNs.
Ways to participate:

- Attend a town hall hosted by your Representative or Senator
- Invite your elected leaders to visit your clinical practice (and include fellow pediatric advocates!)
- Call or write your legislators through their official websites
Upcoming In-Person Meeting:
September 24, 2025, at CHOC
Topic: Trauma-Informed Care for Immigrant Children
Join us for an important discussion on providing compassionate and effective care for one of our most vulnerable populations.
