Happy 2023 to Orange County NAPNAP members!
Our New Year started off with an informative update on Autism highlighting diagnostic criteria, resources, roles of schools and much more. Special thank you to Elyse Schoenwald, PNP for her time and talents and taking the extra time to speak individually to our members and participants. Elyse is also a member of our Chapter.
Our next meeting is in the works to learn more about ABA. Please watch for announcements.
In person NAPNAP National Conference will be held March 15-18 in Orlando, Florida. Registration is still open, and I hope to see some of you there. Always a great way to connect and network with members across the country, see old friends and make new ones.

If you would like to participate in learning more about health policy, members can participate in monthly meetings. They are held the first Wednesday of the month.
Please join us on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. ET for our next CHPLC meeting to hear from Senator Booker's office about federal legislation related to child health equity and access to care.
CHPLC is a free member-only benefit. Opt-in for this benefit by emailing healthpolicy@napnap.org.
Additionally, all the California Chapters will once again partner to review and advocate for legislative issues in California by reviewing newly introduced bills and taking appropriate actions based on NAPNAP health policy. Our process will get underway 2/15/23. If you have any concerns or areas that you feel passionately about, contact Judi Leonard if you would like to join our efforts.
Members are always welcome to step up to leadership roles. If you have a desire to serve on the Board, a committee or assist in any way, don't be shy. We welcome your participation in making OC NAPNAP bigger and better.
