Letter from OC-NAPNAP outgoing President--Becky Kilpatrick

Posted almost 7 years ago by Linda Scott-Katz

Hello OC- NAPNAP members!

I wanted to let all of you know that we are having our final meeting of this year on Wednesday, June 14th at  Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse in Newport Beach at 7pm. Registration is required for attendance. This is our meeting when we elect new board members and would really appreciate your attendance. This is the end of my term as President and I am looking forward to the years ahead with new leadership in place.

We are always looking for members who are interested in getting involved with our chapter. I think being involved on the NAPNAP OC board helped me see what the National office does for members. There are various chairperson positions that can be considered to match your interests.

This year we began our Facebook page, NAPNAP-OC Chapter, and I hope you have been able to join us there. It is a new fledgling that Sara Mehrmand has taken on. We really would love to see this grow into a useful communication tool for our members, but we need you to make this happen.

Currently, Judi Leonard is slated to be our President, as she was our President Elect. We do have the option of a President Elect for the upcoming term should anyone desire to become the President after Judi’s 2 year term. I cannot think of a more qualified President to serve under and learn from.

Cheryl Deters is slated to assume the role of Continuing Education Chair replacing Judi. Other positions will be up for grabs after the 2017-2018 year. Anyone with interest in becoming involved is very welcome to inquire about the duties of President Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Chair, Legislative Chair, Communications Chair, CE Chair as well as involvement on the committee for our Southwest Conference.

This organization is your organization and it can become stronger with more member involvement. I realize that we all are busy people. I greatly appreciate the efforts of the board members for these last few years, as well as those before them have done to make this chapter what it has been. Please consider making OC NAPNAP an even stronger organization with your participation. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions.

Please go to our webpage:  https://ocnapnap.enpnetwork.com/  to register for the dinner and education event on June 14th. Our meeting will be at the conclusion of the educational presentation.

Sincerely,

Rebecca B. Kilpatrick, RN CPNP
