Advanced Practice Provider - Tustin, Orange County, CA
Join our dynamic healthcare team of Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in Tustin, Orange County, CA. We are seeking experienced Advanced Practice Providers with acute care experience in ER, Urgent Care, or Internal Medicine to deliver comprehensive health assessments and innovative in-home care.

- Duration: 26 weeks
- Employment Type: Local, On-Site
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Shift Duration: 10-hour shifts
- Shifts Per Week: 4
- Flexible Schedule: Must be willing to work 14 shifts per month, including 4 weekend shifts
- Patient Ratio: 1:1, see 7-10 patients per shift
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Emergency, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
- Graduate with an advanced degree from an accredited institution
- Current unrestricted state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in California
- Nationally board certified
- Current BLS required, ACLS certification preferred
- Prescriptive authority and DEA
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily while carrying equipment
- Ability to work a varied schedule with evenings, holidays, and weekends required
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a clinical care team with a DHMT (DispatchHealth Medical Technician) to deliver care in the patient’s home
- Perform comprehensive health assessments and diagnose and treat complex illnesses
- Provide therapeutic interventions, such as splinting, suturing, wound care, and minor procedures
- Use critical thinking skills and follow evidence-based standards of practice
- Accurately and thoroughly document patient encounters
- Analyze test data to diagnose, treat, and arrange appropriate follow-up for continuity of care
- Educate patients and families on managing their health and well-being
- Effectively navigate difficult conversations related to end-of-life issues and goals of care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and all individuals involved in the patient’s care
- Adhere to clinical and safety standards, protocols, and performance metrics
- Provide care with compassion, empathy, and cultural competency
- Maintain positive relationships with DHMT partners and remote teams
- Attend training sessions and clinical team meetings
- Lead your practice and always do what’s right for the patient
