Additional Information
The mission of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) is to promote optimal health for children through leadership, advocacy, education and research. The state chapter of NAPNAP representing Orange County seeks to optimize this mission statement by presenting a one day educational conference for pediatric nurse practitioners.
This conference offers participants opportunities to review the evidence surrounding clinical issues in practice. Experts will deliver current practice guidelines for sports and common orthopedic issues, update on marijuana and other abusive drugs, ADHD, cardiology, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, concussions, homeless children and cultural and health disparities of the LGBTQ communities.
Pediatric nurse practitioners are tasked to make health care decisions regarding children’s health and well-being and rely on continuing education to base decisions on best available evidence. Attendance at this educational conference allows pediatric nurse practitioners to translate up to date evidence into practice.
